Sanctus and Agnus Dei (1969)

Ships That Pass in the Night, for baritone and chamber ensemble (1988). Text: Paul Laurence Dunbar. Duration: 8:16. 22 pages. Piccolo, flute, alto and tenor saxophones, 2 trumpets, timpani, bass and tenor drums, congo drums, tambourine, gong, piano and baritone, speaking voice (narrator). Performed by Cleveland Chamber Symphony. [This is a revised version of her 1953 work, Symphonic Poem.]

Symphonic poem, for orchestra (1954). (7:13) This was Perry's University of Wyoming Masters thesis project, later revised and presented under a new name, Ships That Pass in the Night (1988) (8:16) Orchestration: 2 flutes, 2 clarinets, 2 oboes, 2 bassoons, 2 trumpets, four French horns, 2 trombones, 2 tubas, timpani, cymbal and strings. Premiered July 9, 1954 in Caspar, Wyoming and Denver, Colorado, with the University of Wyoming Orchestra. Saul Caston, conductor. [In 1955, there was a version for band, performed April 19, 1955.]
